WW2 sale.com Warning scam artist.
Guys I order a uniform from WW2sale.com and got ripped off. They sent me the wrong size and will not do anything about it:
Order ID: 52756 Date Ordered: 27/04/2012 Me:(may16) Hello I received my order to day! I am please with it, the stitching is done very well. I only have 2 concerns: The jacket is smaller then the sizing chart says on the website. It's a 50 chest not a 52. I've had it checked by a tailor to make sure. Could I've gotten a XL not a XXL? One of the mag pouches seems to be alot older then the other and it has one of the catches broken. I can send pictures if you want them. Thanks Reply from them: (may 16) Dear Chris, Could you takes pictures to show both the size problem and broken. Thanks Me:(may16) Here is the pictures with the size shown and the damaged pouch. Thanks Them:(may16 Dear Chris, The tunic is custom made ,the error within about 2 cm is accept . The damage problem we will inform our factory ,we will reply you soon. if the problem was confirmed ,we will give you a satisfied answer. Thanks. Me:(may16) The error is not 2cm it is 2 inches as shown on the tape in the picture. I can understand a error of cm not of inches. Thanks Them: (may 17) ok, we will ask for our technical part and reply you soon. Me: after waiting till June 13 I contacted them by there 24/7 chat on their site. they request the pictures again and acted like they didn't get the pictures. them: (June 13th) Dear Chris Hurley , we have received your pictures and will reply you in 48 hours. thanks best regards ww2sale.com Me: June 18th Hi guys any news also it's been 6 days. Thanks Chris Hurley Them: June 18th sorry sir, there is something wrong with our computer system, pictures you offer us is lost. please send us some new one, we will reply you in 12 hours. thanks for your understaning. Me: Pictures resent. them: Dear sirs , we will reply you as soon as we can. thanks best regards ww2sale.com them: Dear Chris Hurley , So sorry for damage for our shipping express. When you place next order ,we will send a gift as compensation. But the size of tunic was right , because the tunic is made in another manufactory ,they has different size chart compared with ours. If you want a decent ww2 uniform, buy only from At the front or WPG.
Cost more but the quality and service is there.

Chinese shops are notorious for having wrong sizes. As SHaKaL said, WPG, At The Front, there are others, will cost more but quality wise can't be beat.

I'm guessing you paid by credit card: contact your CC issuer. Most likely they can get you a refund.

I had a similar problem with Spearhead Militaria. They sent me the Austraian uniform instead of the Canadian Battle Dress. They eventually sent me the right uniform. It's a bit small (close enough that a little weight loss and it'll be fine) even though I stated clearly that I wanted it one size up. I made the mistake of giving them my real measurements. I'd say the answer is to lie about the size you need. I still have the Ausie uniform.

Personnaly I got a satisfying service from spearhead militaria, when I got my Canadian Battle Dress last year. Got what I paid for, good pricing... I ordered using their chart.

So... 52 inches at one factory equals 50 inches at another factory?
Or did you order a XXL and get an XL? If that's the case, and XXL is supposed to be 52 inches why does the factory they use use a different sizing chart? I'm confused.

They say they're custom made, so how could any error that large be acceptable? when did metric inches and imperial inches become different? (I know there aren't inches in the metric system :P)

Hurley895, sorry to here about your crap experience.
It is best to avoid WW2 vendors that offer Allgemeine SS Tuxedos as well as "Fantasy" items such as USMC Camouflage M42 Jump Suits. Soon as you see a vendor offering this type of nonsense it is best to take a pass. $162.59 for an Iffy looking US Tanker Jacket Repro? WTF? |
