Both M14 are very nice.

I'd like to get one with the pistol grip (non-EBR).
If only those gearbox would be less of a assle to upgrade.

That's the DMR version that you're talking about. It's true that the M14 gearbox is a bitch to upgrade but once it's done you won't have to open it again.
