im still waiting on an AEG G43. If they made that, i would most likely sell both my M14 A AND Kar98k.

I am waiting for it too , a Bren would be nice as well.
there are youtube vids of Shoei MG in action...nice, but mag capacity is limited and runs on gas. |

That Shoei would be cool, but for 4k, I don't want to be running around with an external hpa tank.

Picked mine up today! Holy shit, this thing has heft!
Question though.. I think I might have accidently snapped something in the rear sight apature . Anyone know how that metal pin in there is held in (it's curved, about an inch long, two holes in one end). It "pranged" out when I bumped the rearsight by accident. EDIT: It also seems my selector switch only works when it wants to. Sometimes it does nothing. Anyone else have issues with it?

Ya mine doesn't have a "safe" you pull the trigger and it goes off! All in all an excellent gun.

My selector didnt work at first either, needed some work. The peice inside the grip can slip off because the AGM version doesnt have anything holding the top of the left grip tight, so the plastic selector peice inside the grip can spring off the metal peice on the selector by flexing the whole left side of the grip(the whole removable cover). I just used a couple of shims to push the metal part of the selector closer to the body so it can't be sprung away enough to not work, now my selector works perfect. I just had to lube the crap out of the shims to make sure there wasnt extra wear.

Put a tightbore in it and you can get some pretty good distance out of it!

Now I just need to fix the barrel nut, mine came with a cheap ass orange plastic one. And it isnt even the right one, its a barrel nut of a MP40, not the special one that matches up with the retainer pin on the MP44. Anyone got an idea where I could get one?

I have the shitty nut too. Just primed it and painted it and took it out. Looks great now.

Here's my little project
Bare metal with gun blueing on it... I still have to paint the grip to make it look like wood and stain my stock I had an hard time getting the gun blue to hold on the foward grip.. and also the barrell thing seems to be in copper so you cannot blue it.. I left it black. It wasn't long to strip the gun to the metal, I just used some toner and sanded what was left

Really nice!
If I ever manage to pick one up, I had ideas to do the blueing as I blued my AK's. I was just worry that it might not take, did you have any problems with it bonding other then the foregrip?
