It's the Christmas season probably has loads of orders or is spending time with family. People still have lives you know...

There's a limit to patience when an item is 1 month overdue. For some people, that 300$ represents quite an investment, and to have it hanging in mid-air with barely any updates can be really painful.

1 Month?

I waited 4 months with A&A for an order that he hadn't placed. After four months. Took him another couple days to get my refund together to. The reason I bring this up is that A&A was a primary bussiness. Mopic is doing this on the side when he can, if he can. Like many said his real job takes him all over the place a lot of the time, as such I cut him more slack that I would cut other retailers.

Thank you. That's what I'm trying to say. Seems a lot of the new guys coming in are REALLY impatient! All the new people don't know what it was like to get airsoft guns a year or two ago. When you had to wait literally MONTHS for a gun. I waited 4 months for one myself! I know others who have waited more.

You'll get the gun or a refund. Just be patient. He's a good guy who's only trying to help the sport and the community

Precisely. Using A&A as a model of how business should be conducted is like using Hitler as an example of how a leader should run a country. Not that I'm saying Mopic is anything like A&A. You're pretty much guaranteed to get what you pay for from Mopic or get your money back. With A&A, your custom order was more than likely to be sold off in his store for more than what you paid for it while being told that your particular identical product was "held up in customs".

The point is, NO ONE would put up with anything like this if it was for a product other than an airsoft gun. If I were to wait weeks on end to ship stuff I sell on ebay and have no contact with sellers, I'd have nothing but negative ratings and assloads of PayPal claims against me. If you were to order a burger from McD's and they ignored your ass for 30 minutes while filling out other peoples' orders, you'd be fuming, and rightfully so. If you bought a nice new 42" plasma TV from The Brick and they promised next day delivery, and you didn't have it a week later and they didn't return your calls, you'd be livid. I know I would be.

So why put up with it when it's for airsoft and make all kinds of excuses for the seller when he can't even make an effort to explain himself and issues?

A&A ended due to massive fraud, not due to poor comms. Mopic seems to have delivered on everything he has promised, though not within the initial time frame promised. I imagine that his track record has gotten more spotty due to the volume he is dealing with now, vs that of last winter.

My point is this is a side bussiness for the guy, he is doing this to, by and large, help the community (don't forget when he started our other options were.... wait were there any other than A&A, or private importers that you had to know personally to bring kit in for you?), there are other retailers now, so folks if you don't want to wait, talk with your money. Personally I will continue to go with Mopic if he has what I want or need, otherwise I'll consider others too.

PS - Its not only Mopic who is missing deadlines by the way, but since this isn't the AV section no names go out. My point is we all need to be patient here. I agree the lack of comms is something that isn't good, but understand what your getting into before you order. Its not like he hasn't been villified on this site. It is funny though, that many of the same people who bitch and moan about slow responses from Mopic were the same who so readily ran to Mark's defence when A&A was around. (Don't mean the OP)
