How do you determine if your K98 is the G model, I have no idea looking at mine. the but of the rifle has metallic silver housing with screws things under the German eagle.

Love the gun, the scope is alright but I hate where the rail is for it.

If its not the G model, how do you chrono it?

use a chrono machine to see what it is shooting at. I know that at one point, some companies sold the G-version part that made it adjustable. other than that, there is not much else you can do as per my knowledge.

Remove the bolt from the gun, look down the front of it (little tube). Is there something screwed in there? or is the tube empty? If its empty, see if its threaded.

If there is a little thing (not sure what to call it other than Reducer) in there, then you have the g-version, and it should be good to go.

If its threaded, then you can buy the "g-version" conversion.

one my my 98k's had a threaded bolt, but i only had 1 reducer between the 2 rifles. I had a reducer crudly made, have yet to test it out .in theory it SHOULD work. haha

Am I looking at the removed bolt?(do see a small empty tube) or down the rifle after the removed bolt.
