I have some of those too... but when faced with a problem, it bothers me till I solve it. :P or at least until I break it while trying... or break it in frustration.
I've got 4 and 4 low/mids... with 2 improperly working hicaps... breaking one or two isn't going to effect if the gun is game-able or not. :P adding a big wedge of material to the indicated spot does prevent the wheel from jamming with BBs going the wrong way, the mags I have are still only feeding about 10 at a time and then the wheel free spins... though I'm not testing it in the gun yet... I'm just letting the retainer go and seeing if it will pick up... I won't be able to try in the gun till friday night. It's a terrible design though, the wheel's pickups are so small and the hopper area where the wheel picks them up is so wide what happens is it just lifts BBs out of the way and doesn't grab anything... I think I might actually narrow this section next... Last edited by lurkingknight; October 26th, 2011 at 23:53.. |

I found one problem is the tension for the spring is too weak and it doesn't push up at all... Other than that, it can fire.

Take apart the High cap mag, lube it, put it back together, done. Also don't fill it to the 300 limit

my ramp mod seemed to help the feed issue, but not completely solve. It will feed, then the wheel displaces BBs rather than picking them up from the hopper. So if it misfeeds a bit, a bit of a bang on the top of the mag above the wheel usually causes it to pop and grab, but this usually also results in the spring unwinding some.
I only tried shooting 1 full load out of each, and it ended up that there was more reliability near the last 1/3 of the mag. I agree that the follower spring is way too weak though. |

bump to discus MAG brand micaps...has anyone else had these double feed on them? My p90 will dry fire once then next shot fires 2 rounds... both inaccurately. The lowcaps (I have 4 different ones) and highcaps feed fine (when the HC wants to work).

4/4 work perfectly in mine. They can even feed fine at a 24 bps ROF.

I just wish someone would make a mid cap. 150 rounds or more. With the fake rounds. I love the dummy rounds

I run an E1 P90 with a CA metal hop up and the MAG mids are the worst ones I've ever used. One out of 4 that I bought only one would even feed properly. Despite taking them apart and lubing them I still could not get them to feed to my satisfaction. I've tried the Silverback and Pro-arms midcaps and they feed flawlessly out of the box. I've only tried 300 rnds ACM hicaps and they're absolute shit. YMMV so try them for yourself instead of getting second hand advice.

well 4 of 4 brand new MAGs are feeding like shit for me right now... blank shot and then next is a double feed/fire. Sometimes it will even feed 3 and jam the gun completely.
Silverbacks are hard to find, they've been sold out for months at ehobby and airsoftclub and the ones that I can find in stock want double to triple the price. I'm about to order 2 pro arms mags to give them a try... unfortunately I have to order from ehobby unless there's a local/continental vendor that has them. going to leave them loaded for a few days to see if the springs will weaken a bit. They came presoaked in silicone oil lol. |
