Most Municipalities have outright bans for dischargng "firearms" within the Municiple boundaries.. and they define "firearms" as anything.. that discharges anything.. including sling shots, pea shooters, rubber band guns. To my understanding the drive is to ban the sale of and possession of replicas from anyone under the age of 18.. A move that we should support.. and in fact lobby for not resist as it is one more regulation that may bee seen as "enough" with respect to replicas and prevent any amendment to the federal laws.

The bottom line is that nothing has really changed for us.

was the region... this is old news, the proposed the ban on minors having them many months ago, and the council finally passed it. this is good as far as I'm concerned, cause we (Durham and Airsofters) don't want the toy guns we use in minor's hands. ah well back to my browsing as I wait for the wife to call me back so I find out what mystery cheque was written for...either that or the damn babysitter is cashing them faster now.

Seriously, if he wasn't a pseudo-celebrity in this country for giving "the man" the metaphorical finger and thumbing his nose at the laws of the land, would anyone support him? What if the shoe was on the other foot? If someone from a foreign land broke our laws in our country, I doubt there's be as much support from fellow board members to let them go scot free. Most folks here (and I include myself in that number) would be screaming for his head, and rightfully so.

This is a direct reaction from the lost appeal three weeks ago. This is better then expected. We were told the day of the trial that posession was to be made illegal to anyone, any age. There will be more information available. I am going to start a thread with some of the documents.

Just gotta read between the lines. Really not a big deal for us at all, it's targetting those under 18, and it'll actually work in our favour (in my mind, am open to edumacation) if all municipalities followed this to the letter.

If we had an association.... it should do a press release coming out in favour of a GTA wide ban... But we don't .... so we won't

Am I the only one to notice that those who are worried are, mostly, not age-verified?

If you mean not age-verified as in under-aged than I wouldn't put it that way. I have friends that are well over 18 and are contemplating about Airsoft, just really worried about the legality of it ... but than again I know where your stand point is.

If you're over 18, what is the worry? If folks finally follow the basic rules surrounding this sport there will be no problems.
It's those who dont that are the problem. |

well then i guess i just get to drop the sport for another 3 and a half years...
