Review : Jing Gong M4 S-System /56k

Almost everyone who has seen this has commented on how much nicer it looks than the M4A1 MWS and SOPMOD. I dunno, I seen it in the Philippines on a shelf and knew I was going to own one some day.


Oh, and looking at the site hype, I see that various troops around the world use their products.

The DBoys SIR you linked first is like the one I have, except for the fact it's made to fit on a regular M4.

S-System are made different in airsoft. Upper receiver are different and the delta ring is dummy.


But, the outer barrel doesn't wobble

A freind of mine bought one of these, feels and looks great but it's really shit I disaprove unless you know enough to upgrade it have plenty of time and extra energy you'll need to put into it.

Well it's a clone, what were you thinking you'd get?

I see clones as a base.

You build on them. If it's unstable, you just lose more money.

I've had some issues fitting upgrades in the gun, but after 200-300$ of parts, it's better.

You can really tell when an item is one third the cost of the regular models how much you should expect from it. And in my experience the expectations I had for this gun were blown out of the water when I tested it out. After I got it it had to have the motor reseated but I opened the mech-box and shimed it correctly just to inspect and found the same parts as the OP. Having it come with a 6.04 tight/narrow barrel is really nice, and the thing loves .28 bbs to punch through brush.

In close I completely disagree with Ripperman79 in every aspect. The gun feels decent for plastic parts and the SIR is a made of plastic with metal parts. The internals are great for beginners and veterans that don't expect G&P or even G&G workmanship. Buy it if its under $300 and keep it for renting out and you can easily make your money back!

At first yes....but again, mine has never been oiled, greased, cleaned, or had any parts replaced since I bought it around March of 09. Now it shoots consistently at 350 FPS but I think I'm going to tear it down and clean it before something breaks.

And I wouldn't trust stock springs.

And stubby, buy a new full compression set, mine was leaking out of the box.

Hmmm, well the same story here except I need to get a chrony out, its my brothers gun though that he uses about once every two months for a game. So it may still be a bit higher than 350fps. Stock spring is a clone pos though for certain!!

Oh ya I needed a torks screw driver (star shape) to get into the mech-box, so you should have a set with you when you start to tinker. Also anti-revers latch is super easy to put in, assemble with the latch spring in place but not set on the latch (holding it in place) then pop it onto the latch once assembly is finished.

Yeah you need a T8 screwdriver.

I use a Modify Anti-Reversal latch, it's much easier.
