Airsoft Surgeon - Gassed Rifle Cartridge

Finally! Clarence Lai, being the genius that he is, has taken his gas-in-the-cartridge-casing idea from the shotgun and applied it to the rifle. I know there are pistols out there with a gassed cartridge and a bb where the bullet would be, but this is taking it to the next step. Simple, no whine from an electric motor, extremely realistic, can you say heels yeah? Hopefully some manufacturer will recognize the opportunity here, and start creating the world's most realistic rifles. Internals would be insanely realistic though, would have to like... Make sure bodies were too weak to handle power of a real cartridge, but if that was cleared, like.. think about it... Actual cartridges in a mag... Cartridge casing ejection... No whine from a motor, just a pop thats admittedly a lot less loud than the real thing, but still a hell of a lot more realistic... and blowback!!11!1 Dare I say it... Someone could make... An lmg or gpmg use these cartridges... Realistic belt feeding, disintegrating links... omg0rz. Im just dreaming now, but admit it. This would so much rock assballs its not even funny. Just the concept makes me tingle all over. Pics:

Anybody out there know who I have to throw money at to make this happen? I just want this in an automatic rifle... So very badly.

/longest post ever

It's not new. Asahi built a gas cartridge bolt action rifle ages ago.

You would compress air into the cartridges yourself with a special mechanism.

It was so realistic, people were converting it to fire .22 rimfire ammunition (if i recall correctly)

Hate to burst your bubble, but I don't see how those things will ever be affordable enough to let fly out of the ejector port of anything automatic. You know that scene from Lord of War with the AK making the cash register sound? Like that, except that's the money one'd stand losing.

Gas reservoirs like GBB magazines and grenade shells are already $50+ each. I can just see someone dumping a mag full of gas cartridges and then spending ten minutes collecting them amongst the bush and grass.

I also have serious doubts that a cartridge that small will hold enough gas to provide any sort of decent recoil.

if you fill that shell with CO2 wouldn't it be at least as powerful as any other airsoft sniper? it looks almost the same size as one of those little CO2 tanks for airguns.

Those CO2 bulbs are significantly bigger. They're also just simple containers, they don't have a release mechanism built in which eats up internal space.

It's from Clarence Lai, so I wouldn't be surprised if that thing is made specifically with CO2 in mind.

Mabey good for single shot sniping where the shooter can easily recover the shell in front of him, but not from fully automatic fire.

I dont know, man. Chuck is getting old. Hes like a senior citizen now. And Clarence may need some Colgate, but hes got the armory of a god. So I dunno... Kind of like the uhh... "Jesus vs. Godzilla" debate. Or, if Godzilla couldnt kick Jesus's ass, could Mecha-Godzilla? ...quite the stumper that one. I mean, Jesus can like do all kinds of crazy shit, but Mecha-Godzilla can shoot missiles out of his fingers. Missile-fingers. Take that into consideration.
