red dot scopes
When i look through my reddot the dot is not centered unless i have my eye exactly infrount of the scope. I asumed this was the same for all reddots but I just read that more expensive ones will stay on the same position regardless of what angle you are looking from. Do these exsist and is it possible to get them for a reasonable price?

I purchase a real Aimpoint Red Dot (about 450USA$). The dot does remain on the target, once you calibrate it.

The dot may move depending on your head position/viewing angle, but where ever the dot is on the scope is the point of aim, even if the dot is high up or off to the side.

if you really want to get ultra picky about dialing your reddot,,,,first find out if you are left or right eye dominate and then make your adjustments from there. ( although reddots are to be used with eyes open)

That's the main idea behind rds, you do not have to have your head lined up perfectly each time. |
