I purchased the Gas mask set on Ebay. It is a matching set dated 1941. It is German and has all the associated markings on the Canaster, Mask and Filter. The Canaster has original Spare lenses as well as the original cotton cleaning cloth in excellent condition in the bottom of the canister held in place by the retaining spring. (Hard to get a canister with this in it). The Mask and Canister belonged to a Grenedier Karl Hoffart of No.9 Flg Regt. It has his hand written name on the gasmask strap as well as a period type written lablel with his name and number afixed to the inside of the canister lid. The total cost of the item was $110 dollars Canadian. An amazing original piece of history.
