ordering parts from outside Canada?

I know its dumb to order AEG's and such from outside of Canada, how about parts like metal body's and scope mounts? would there be restrictions on that too? I searched around but did not see any info on this subject.

I have my heart set of getting a side mount plate. Was told that using the stock body was not a good idea.

Wonder if there is space to add some sheet metal to help reinforce it(inside)?

Beware, it is "Illegal" to export scopes out of the US. I know this sounds stupid, but I've been hit with this before. The Canadian Customs don't care, but hope that the US customs doesn't get a hold of it. Its part of their "Terrorist Act" or whatever its called for Homeland Security. Anything that attaches to a firearm, scopes, stocks, firing pins ect, has an export ban on it. You may not be caught, but just use caution when bringing anything "firearm" related across the border.

Yeah, sounds pretty rediculous, but its true. Look at sites that sell NV scopes in the US.
