Suggestions on mics/earphone for moto walkie
Greetings,
I run one of these http://www.motorolasolutions.com/US-...adio_B2B_US-EN andd looking for suggestions on what people have used/purchased in terms of alternative throat mics/ earphones w/ mic, etc. What I'm looking for is something low-profile, and doesn't get in the way, the one that came with the walkie was junk, would always fall out of my ear. I only play CQB if that matters. I was thinking of those clear earphones like this one: http://www.911gear.ca/surveillance-e...io-p-2620.html But those are listen only, would need a source for listen/out going mic comms. I've also heard about throat mics, but heard they kinda feel awkward around the neck? Looking for ideas and suggestions, as I r the nubz. Thank you! |

Blam. I was skeptical at first as well, but its been running perfectly since. I know there are a few other people on the site who will vouch for these, and the company. You actually need a quick disconnect adapter for like 25-30 bucks with those. So call the company and ask, have the item number ready and whoever it is will sort it out. I purchased this kit and they caught it before it went out the door thankfully.

nacre quietpro iasus throat mics that bone conducting mic looks awesome Unfortunately if you want anything half decent quality for comms, you gotta pay for it -_- The iasus NT3 throat mics are great, you can wear them 24hrs and you forget the neck band and earpiece are there |

Something cheap < 50 dollars gets the job done when you are sitting at a desk, but on a field running, getting wet etc its generally total garbage. Buy something Commercial / professional grade I got these simple ear buds from TCI. I still have them with the import paperwork and probably would sell them if you are interested. Yes I know even simple quality earbuds cost 2-3 times more than your radio. |

Hey Bio,
I have the "FBI" clear ear buds from Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Medium-Duty-...item2a3f13912f And I connected it to a "Boom Mic", heavy duty, can take a few hits. It does the job, $30 for everything.

My self and my buddy have been using these 2 cheap ass headsets with zero issues for the past 2 seasons.
ebay and one of these They both have PTT buttons, the earbud's ptt is also the spot for the mic, clip it to your collar and your good. The one with the boom mic is on the wire. It can be annoying at first but you either get used to it, or get used to pushing the PTT on the radio. Cheap ebay shit... I hate straps on my head, so I use these... no issues... maybe Im just lucky. I have tried cheap throat mics and I most certainly can see that you get what you pay for.

Guess i'll do an update.
EBAY FBI EARBUDS that bigload recommended- They do the job - Semi comfortable - Broke, but tape fixed it. GRSM-HD1 - Work like a champ! - My moto works in and out, definitely like it, has a clip on which is great, put it on my shoulder strap. |

I dunno how people's earbud setups last them so long. I got TWO of those earbud sets from eBay and they shit the bed after one game each. I've just settled on using a Puxing hand mic now.

The white piece that connects to black broke off, so I had to tape it on shut.. little gap, but still works... I don't play long enough to worry so I'm fine with a ghetto setup haha! |

I am using Bose freestyle earbuds . I got a nice a discount for the headphone from bay bloor radio . I used it for the last few games and i am completely satisfied with it’s quality. Even though i Invested more than $100 it is completely worth it. It's better to invest some money for a good quality product than going for cheap ones. I was using under $50 headphones before which normally turns garbage after 2-3 games.
