Hi,
I installed a new spring/spring guide/piston in my stock m24 cylinder. The bolt is now harder to pull because of my stronger spring. The problem is that my handle part (red in the picture) is moving a little bit to the left when I pull. So its causing alot of friction (blue in picture). Is it a common problem ? Is there a way to fix the looseness? Or I need to change my stock cylinder ? thanks for your time

Cup the bolt handle with your over hand, so the knob is close to the base of your pinky, so your index finger base rests on the bent part and your thumb on the rear of the cylinder.......... try that, is the best and only way to cock a bolt action rifle with anything stronger than stock. I think the problem lies with your trying to use the end of the bolt handle (as said, the problem lies six inches behind the bolt handle) and expecting to cock it like a real steel bolt action. Doing it the way I suggested above will likely remove a lot of the canting you described which is causing you problems.

damn, I forgot about this thread ...
Thanks for your input stalker, but I'm cocking like you are describing, even closer to the cylinder. The problem come from the part in red, its loose and need a perfect pull angle to be cocked correctly. I guess the next step is to try to sand it...

Might be different, might be the same. With mine, what made it loose was the steel pins holding the handle boss to the cylinder had opened up from use by the previous owners (I got it in 2003, and had two previous owners, so it's one of the first CA M24s in Canada) with the heavy assed spring in it (came with the crappy CA 300% kit installed). I tried to drill more holes and then tap to put new screws in, but the metal was too hard and couldn't get through it properly, so I put up with it all these years. And ya, burrs and other things that occur in around the cylinder can bog things down as well.
