Best AK based GBBR

What, in your opnions is the best AK based GBBR in terms of overall quality and potential as a skirmish weapon?

I am interested in ones that are generally available too, as I know there are probably some nice ones we will almost never see here.

Any ideas on average price for a new/used example of the best ones in your opinions?

Im planning on buying one soon, but i've heard plenty of good things about what SRC has to offer. A freind of mine in the states baught one (He's former navy) and he's incredibly impressed with it. Just waiting for him to shoot it for a bit and form more impressions.

Overall, there isn't much to really choose from. GHK prove itself to be a complete fail and WE still has yet to release theirs.

Might be best to wait for more options to come out.

Funny you should mention that! I was recently issued a nice Romanian AK for a task I did with the Canadian Forces and ever since I wanted an airsoft version or deactivated one for myself!

Maybe I will. I will look into SRC.

For my part, SRC's aks74u looks (and shoots very impressively !)
I am to buy that gun in the summer (saving for it now !)

But you can still wait, WE'ss GBBRs seems to always impress, but yeah, it seems that, opposite to aegs, the AK style was kinda forgotten !!!

Final words:
You can get a SRC or wait a 'lil bit to get WE's !!!, but it only depends of you, both seems good !

Whats the average price for the SRC AK-74U? Is there a traditional Ak-47 version or just the U? I am having trouble finding the options on google there is just too much garbage out there.

It's $ 475 + GST.

Mags are $ 65 each.

Recoil is slightly less than a KJ M4 (I haven't shot any other AK based GBBR so i couldn't compare them, sorry)

I have tested over 1000 rounds with no problems. The mags need to be broken into though. The spring in the mags seem to be very stiff once you put about 30rds in it. The last 15rds are a bitch to be loaded in!

Other than that, every thing was perfect.

Ken

I'm also really impressed with them! I didn't have full tank of gas left, but I'll be testing more thoroughly next week.
