okay, got the upper reciver off (she's a slider) didn't seem like there was anything in there for a spring to be attached to, except for one little tiny screw, but that did not do the trick. I'm thinking maybe whoever had this gun gave 'er a yank and streched the hell out of it and just said f it. just wondering if it was my seller or someone before him.

so yeah, no spring or plastic peice seen.

also, seemed like the upper reciver didn't want to come off with the cocking handle in. had to pull it out first.
