m120 is a bit strong and 2400 mAh is not so big for such a spring.
if you spray a lot it's not surprising, especially if the battery is a cheap one.
you won't get an amazing change from dean connectors unless the ones you have are damaged, oxyded or covered with oil.
I'd try another battery, then another motor like m102404 said.
