FDC 460a is a single band UHF radio - 400 to 470 MHZ they are moderately priced at about 50.00 plus shipping and batteries are under $10.0

and if you want a dual band then you are looking at the Wouxum kG-UVD1P with a spare battery you are looking at about 130.00

any radio will work as long as it can get to 400 - 470 MHz
