as for upgrades. I see that for CA, G&P, G&G and ICS need parts switched. There is not definite part that needs to be upgraded because it is different for every gun anyone owns. Sometimes jsut teh spring.. other times its the motor.. the hop up assembly.. inner barrel...
For TM you can use your gun for 10,000+ rounds before having to upgrade any internals.
I havnt heard anyone keeping their NON TM armalites stock because they can't or simply dont like the performance untill they have fixed the problems.

I think that info would be based on models over a few years old. Even still, say you did have to replace a part its still like 50x cheaper than upgrading a TM. But I havent heard things like this happening with newer models.
