Something that I want to put together over the winter while at school.
Everybody wants a SAW or M60, but us mortals cannot afford the high price.
So I want to make a M4 type support weapon. Functionl is the most important thing to me, not looks. I want this thing to scare the pants off the other team when I open fire.
I used a FAMAS as a secondary for a short game and I liked the quick light bipod and the ripping 300 bbs of death that I pushed on to the bunker..... etc..
I want to recreate that in M4 form.
Here is the outline (subject to change at whim)
External:
ICS M4 full stock or a TM with a metal body. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
Cmag (Have one on the way)
Internals:
Highspeed gears.
OR
Highspeed motor.
I would prefer the highspeed motor because, A) cheaper B) don't have to open mechbox or reshim anything.
So a fairly simple outline. The only question I am thinking about is the feed rate of the cmag, but it being electric it shouldn't be a problem.
The other neat thing that I might do is try to build it from scratch using parts bought off the forum. Expensive, but would keep me entertained during the school year (as if mech eng wasn't entertaining enuf

)
