Reviving a dead battery

Hi everyone.

I think one of my batteries is dead. I noticed last year that this particular one wouldn't last as long as the other ones, but now its not even usable anymore. I charged it to full, and then by the time I got ready preparing my stuff and got to the field (an hour or two), I could only fire a couple shots.

So I searched online about tips on how to revive a dead battery. Some say to put it in the freezer, or short it with a car battery or a welder. One I found interesting suggested to take apart a disposable camera, and use the flash capacitor to deliver a ~1000v short.

Any other ideas?
