Unless you are going for the Pollack mini Beryl look, it won't look right on an AKSU.
Besides, the AKS-74U is one of the most hated guns in Russia's army, soldier's give it the nickname of 'little bitch' in Russian. I haven't actually shot one (Only gun I have ever shot was a Maadi folder in Egypt) but because the gun is just a chopped up AK-74, and is not desirable to fire by soldiers, you can see why it's not a gun to accessorize.
The main unit in which the AKS-74U is still in use is in OMON (And some others, but mainly for OMON) , but even then, you can see AKS-74U's with soviet wood, polymer, or sometimes a Kobra, it all depends on the situation.
The 7.62x39 AK still reigns supreme amongst Russian servicemen and women.
