$150 What can i do

ok like the title says i got 150 bucks and my 18th is in a week or so
and im planning to go online and get some gear/gun

i have been looking at an aftermath Kraken since i love AKs and that kind of thing.

i have found a sale at Bass pro shops in Vaughaun for 120 and i was hoping to use any kind of brithday money for a nice sidearm

there isnt much airsoft that i know of (Hamilton- Niagara area) so im not looking for anything too pricey or high qualitty

any suggestions for gear or anything at all

thanks

At that price you won't get much, I would get the Shotgun from Canadian Tire.

theguy July 19th, 2009 16:33

you can get a kracken... and nothing else.

Sorry bud, this is an expensive sport. a good starter gun is generally at least 300 bucks.

And a good sidearm? Another 300

wait a little bit add another 150 get age verified and your options will be much better

Birthday money+existing money=JG=decent starter gun, and good with a tune up.

Set yourself a budget of at least $500-$600, then you can get some stuff.

Sorry to break it to you, but airsoft isn't a cheap sport.

Buying airsoft guns is like buying hookers. You can either spend more money and get something better peforming, comes with more extras and is more show-off worthy. Or you can just spend whatever little money you have, get the cheaper one that you will regret spending the money on pretty quick, damn yourself for not spending more money and more than likely to walk away with syphilis.

Yes you heard right, low end airsoft guns give you syphilis.

You could buy a set of gears and a piston for $150!

IceTray July 19th, 2009 18:37

You could buy a piggie bank to save up money for a good gun. :)
No honestly, $150 won't get you much of anything, except for accessories, not a good gun. If you're only willing to spend that much, the sport isn't something for you, as already stated, look closer to $400 - $600

Stop buying prometheus bits...
You can get a G&P mechbox for that =o. Well, excluding shipping anyways.

But Prometheus bits work so much better than G&P :)

To me G&P are stock internals lol.
