M14 Reinforced Gearbox
 

About 6 months ago I bought a reinforced gearbox for my M14 from airsoftsupplies, never bothered to install it.

A week ago Spa and I were working on it, and noticed that it came with 6 bearings and 1 of 3 gears. Im not that great with internals so I dont know which one.

Anyways, we tried to transplant the gears, and found that the gears in the original gearbox wont fit in the reinforced one. That is, they wont fit with the bearings supplied. the bearings are too small and wont go onto the gears. All the same, the bushings from the original gearbox wont fit in the reinforced gearbox.

So... what is one to do? The only gears that will work in the reinforced gearbox are the ones supplied with the gearbox, but only 1 of 3 gears is supplied!

What have other people done?

The g&p M14 mechbox comes with a Version 7 spur gear, which you can use with V2/3 gear sets.

Marui gears don't fit ball bearings. You'll have to buy any V2/3 or V7 gear set or 7mm bushings.

Will V7 mechboxes take infinate torque up gearsets?

Only if it's meant specifically for v7 gearboxes.

v7 gearbox uses different gears than any other gearbox.
