short Barrel and precision

Hi,

I would like to know what do you think about barrel lenght effect on precision.
I mean, if a gun is equipped with a short 8 inch barrel (not a tight bore) vs a longer one.

Would it be logical to consider that the only effect would be the velocity increase pass a certain point ( for example a cqb m4 with a 8 inch barrel vs a 14 inch) ?

that is correct.

Bore quality and straightness is far more important than length or diameter. I have personally not noticed any correlation between longer barrels vs shorter in terms of getting a more precise result when it comes to groupings, and I've built a fair number of guns for myself and other players.

i have personally witnessed a pistol our range a PTW (FCC, though, that could be the issue)

My KWA vector gets about the same range AND accuracy as my ptw, and it's only got a 5" barrel.

Barrel length and bore is pretty inconsequential to accuracy. It's all about the quality of the bore and your hop rubber.

Yeah, size doesn't matter!

My ics cxp m4 pistol gets great range. Quality of the barrel is where its at.

Don't forget the consistency of air compression and volume.
The best barrel/ hop is worthless if your compression system sucks, and even stock barrels work well enough with good compression.
