HSGI Weesatch Spray Down
 

Figured I'd share a few pics of my updated Weesatch. I was getting a bit tired of it's fresh clean look, so I decided to give it a quick spray down.

Pretty happy with it now, has more of a Smoke Green tone to it. Hopefully it'll wear out nicely. Just glad to be gone with that bright khaki drag handle. :roll:

What kind of paint and what color did you use on it?

It seems nice, but I would like to see pics of you wearing it with BDUs.

It's actually Krylon OD and Tan/Khaki Camo Paint. Looks greyish due to the grey day we're having today. I'll probably have some shots of it with bdu's when it drys more (just don't want to spread that paint smell all over)

Looks far better now, even if it did just probably hurt your resale value a bit. FWIW, a pressure washer can apparently (never tried it myself) take the paint off, if you ever so desired.

As well as mine! Too bad I'm too scared to spray my m4 (since I'm not happy with it's performance) Thanks for the complements gang, helps solidify that I did make the right choice in spraying it.

Oh, it was just your typical OD flexfit cap. I got it from a fellow airsofter and added velcro for flag attachments. (easy mod if you have a sewing machine lying around) I bet you can find it at some kiosk at some shopping mall.

You know, that was probably the only reason I was hesitant about it, but I figure I won't be selling the rig anytime soon anyways. I may end up trying that pressure washer idea to wear off some of the paint. Might make an interesting mix. Thanks for the info Noel!

As for further modifications, I decided to modify the waist strap as well, so that the rig separates:

Yar, le sprayjob is le nice.

I found an online retailer that sells them, I'm not sure about how reliable they are (as I've never ordered from them). But they have them.
