Using a LMG in a RC game/ How to?

So from past experience I know that the drum for the A&K M249 does not feed well with only 200 bb's in it. It tends to dry fire then feed a few rounds etc. This makes it very hard to use in a real cap game. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks

Eeyore.

Easy. Fill it a bit more, pre-wind it until it fires properly, then empty and put only 200 BBs in.

You also want to make a cardboard box that takes the extra space/block the BB from going everywhere.

mod a midcap m4 mag and somehow hide it in a box mag?

just an idea ive been toying with for an mg36 ( hide a 100 round mag in a beta c mag)

Use a highcap/midcap mag in the side magwell.

Modding the box mag will be tricky since they slide-lock in and still feed from the side-magwell.

Most times we set the ammo limits so that riflemen have 300 in anything but highcaps and LMG/SAW have 1000 (and yeah, they won't all feed) That puts them at a ~3:1 firepower advantage which works for most game dynamics of balancing "realism" with airsoft-reality.

Don't forget there's also ~40 rounds in the feed tube at all times too X_X
I would also suggest using mags. Closest thing you'll get to changing belts, unless you have a spare box
