Gloves for winter play

I'm getting my winter kit together since we have no indoor options to play in NS. I'm just wondering, for those of you who also play in the cold, what do you use for gloves?

I wear a thin glove that's made of the same type of material as the long johns, so they are fucking warm, then a tougher glove over top, usually some Mechanix.

Too bad I cant find my next to skin layer.... forever lost in Gagetown.

CF nomex flying gloves. Warm in moderate cold and extremely tactile. Good luck finding them though!

Depending how cold it is, either USMC FROG gloves (Camelbak Maxgrip) or HAU-15P Cold Weather Nomex Flyer's Gloves.

The HAU 15Ps are good even in extreme cold.

I have seen the Cold Weather Flyer's Gloves before, but I was worried if it is too thick for weapon using...

I use the FastFit Mechanix gloves with a heat pack shoved in the back, but have a pair of over mitts in my pockets for downtime.

Well my (knockoff?) Mechanix seemed to do the trick fine yesterday at ~0*c. Maybe I'll look into getting a base layer glove and see if that does the trick.

I got mine after I saw pics if real operators using them: they fit fine in the [huge] AK trigger guard, they're very snug in a stock M4/M16 trigger guard but fit fine in KAC-style trigger guards (albeit you can flip down the regular M4 trigger guard for use with winter gloves); similar its a snug fit in my 1911's trigger guard but fits okay in my PX4.

So generally I'd say they're usable without issue, and they provide decent tactile response despite the thickness -- more than enough to adequately operate the bolt catch, mag release, fire selector, etc and stuff like PTT button. I can also operate my Garmin Oregon with surprising ease (it does have fairly large icons) but I wouldn't want to use the soft keyboard on my smartphone with them on.

Never used them for airsofting, however have used them camping in the winter, but just some simple wool gloves. Dispite how thin they may be, they are very warm and if they get wet, well you've all heard about the majic of wool. good pair shouldnt cost more that $20

I use Arcteryx gloves or just throw a good liner in with your normal gloves if there is room.

Personally I use North Face liner gloves I picked up about a year ago now, and they've got holes in all the right places :D.

I use some nice skiing gloves. Very warm, not too thick and with only a little practice I was able to manipulate my rifle the same as I can in the summer with thin mechanex gloves on.
