Put a Lipo instead of a Nimh ?

First is it a bad idea to put a <LiPO 7.2V 1000mAh 15C> OR a <LiPO 7.2V 1300mAh 25C> in a Ares G36c ? (Is it gonna put too much stress to the gearbox ?)

If it's okay to do so, how to convert a Tamiya to Dean: Just cut the connector, take the solder, a dean connector and that's it ??

A 7.2v LiPo will give you close to the same ROF as a 9.6v mini battery, maybe a little lower depending on your setup.
It's not dangerous to the gun, however, ask yourself WHY you want to run a LiPo battery.
Is it for volumetric concerns? Do you want more ROF? Do you want to push a bigger spring at the same ROF without changing gears?

If your just looking for more performance in ROF and battery efficiency, simply installing a regular MOSFET switch and rewiring the AEG with high quality wire will audibly increase your ROF and noticeably increase battery life.

There are dangers and things to know about running LiPo, information can be found in this thread....

Not for the ROF.
Because LiPo is 30$ and the others (in another montreal shop) is like 50$. Its cheaper and it last about the same.

For now i have a NiCd battery ... 2 mags and im out of battery...

and i think it have better battery life in long term ... !

I think i will not void warrenty and just make a tamya-dean adaptor by my own ... !

What is the polarity ? On tamiya there is a square and circle. On the dean there is a vertical and horizontal [ - | ]. The circle on the horizontal ?

You could just wire your LiPo to tamiya, although not recommended because Deans is significantly more efficient.

You'll need a LiPo charger, I use an iMax B6 (charges anything and everything)
And check hobbyking for batteries, I got my 7.4v 1600mah batts for 9$ each

make sure your charger also balances.

Check on the Dean's. On the side where you solder your wires, there is a small + and - mark.

The one flat is - and the one across is +.

And if you buy Genuine Dean's (I never buy anything else) there are instructions on the bag.

Kos-Mos I have soldiered probably 50+ pairs of these things and have never once noticed those markings.... I just always looked at the counter part or the bag lol.

And remember to put the female end on the battery lol
And it totally slipped my mind but yeah, my deans have the markings on them

You might have always used clones...
