Is Pantac worth it?

I see pantac everywhere Gear-bags pouches how are they for durability and reliability, Im looking to buy the Pantac MBss pack from the asc mart, Just wanted to know how you guys feel about pantac?

DanoftheDead July 21st, 2010 15:22

Pantac is durable as hell! I'd recommend it if you got the cash to spend.

AngelusNex July 21st, 2010 15:36

YES. Not necessary, for airsoft, but while cheaper vests will need to be replaced, One Pantac vest will last you your whole airsofting career

Never owned a pack though... but I'd imagine the same invincible quality.

TechSeller July 21st, 2010 15:42

Love the Pantac gear... very durable. Worth the extra cash if you got it imho.

Conker July 21st, 2010 15:48

Yes, Pantac and Flyye are both great quality. Pantac colors are better, but in most cases Flyye designs are closer to the originals they're based off.
Both are definitely a great choice.

Hell, IMHO it's better than some issued manufacturers (like SDS or AITES).

Highly recommend Pantac.
Durable, Great quality and QC, Cheap, Availiablity on colours OD/CB/Khaki/ACU/Multicamo/Crye Multicam/Black etc etc.

My Pantac Chest rig is my only piece of kit that hasn't broken in anyway.

Donster July 21st, 2010 16:13

Conker July 21st, 2010 16:16

Able1 July 21st, 2010 16:36

Multicam

And as stated above in my previous post, they have TWO lines of MC.

Multicamo (the fake stuff)
and
Genuine Crye Multicam

Make sure your buying the correct product line.

The build quality and stitching on the Pantac stuff is light years ahead of the older 'Phantom' version 1 stuff as far as the gear clones are concerned; for our applications they are tier 1 by far.

Great quality and certainly up to the task of wear and tear. Bean has said nothing but good things about it in his many reviews, and he's a strait up, no-shit guy that you can take his word for.

Thanks for the compliment and yes I do enjoy the quality and price point of pantac for airsoft games. I am a bit of a hypocrite because I run an hsgi rig most the time. However I still have a few pantac things around that get rotation.

Let me start off by saying Pantac is good for airsoft. It's a good way to acquire gear that can put up with some abuse without breaking the bank. However, you are looking at some minor issues. There's often hardware problems with pantac items, several items (last I checked) lack the more robust ITX Gilletex hardware. Buy the better ones online and replace everything you can. 5 dollars + shipping can fix this issue. Also the same hardware often is not IR rated and turns white in Night Vision.

Hardware issues aside. I'm not sure if they use mil-spec webbing/cloth. But what they do use is pretty damn good. Again, with the IR stuff, I'm not sure how their cloth items are, but if it's not mil-spec, there's a chance it might turn out white in Night Vision. Be aware of this before you start going nuts over pantac stuff, check them in NV before you make a firm purchase.

Again, for airsoft, it's probably the best option. Really affordable. Tougher than a one legged bosnian hooker. Most importantly, complete replicas of expensive items. If you want that Eagle CIRAS but don't want to shell out that paycheque for it, go Pantac.

Personally, I prefer the real stuff, but I'm not going to lie and say I'm not impressed by the quality of Pantac. For china made... probably the only one I'd trust.

Short Round July 28th, 2010 21:22

Pantac is like the next best thing to being the really stuff
