need a reliable drum mag & what parts to get for a ak 105 ?

have a ak 105
Im looking for a reliable drum mag, whats a good brand ?

kullwarrior May 6th, 2010 02:30

afaik there's no drum mags in airsoft that was replcating 5.45 type as for 7.62 just redwolf it, Most of their drum mag stuff is pretty good. One thing I'll say is that drum mags are waste of money both the drum and the bb used. In addition most games dont allow it simply it promote spray n pray paintball.

lol noobs and drum mags

AK104 shoots 7.62 and looks the same hehe

The STAR brand drum-mag worked good for me.

what parts to get ?

i have a ak 105
im just getting confused about what is compatible with what gun.

when i want to upgrade my gun do i look for ak 74 parts or ak 47 parts?

doc_pathfinders May 6th, 2010 03:21

i have had a few drum mags in my time (i'll admit to it) but nothing is as reliable as i want..

sure, some will give you a few bursts, but the only one i ever managed to get near-decent (note: not 'good') performance required alot of tinkering..

i gave up, and unless you intend on using it for an RPK build, i would advise you too..

Just roll with a bunch of midcaps.

Effectively 100% reliability in 150 round packages.

Ran a Dboys C-mag started with 3 AAA batteries and well didn't come close to keeping up with my gun, so I swapped it with a 9V and came close but still had the 2-3 second pauses where the mag tried to keep up with the gun.

Easy now kids...

Tycoon, what exactly are you wanting to upgrade on your ak? Gear box, barrel, hop-up, motor, etc. Like pusangani said, the more info you give on what you want to do, the better we can help you.

What?

All you have to know is V3 AK parts take V3 AK parts.
Get Age Verified to find more parts on classifieds.

What do you even need to upgrade on it?

If you're 21, get Age Verified. There's an event happening Friday (Today) at TTAC. Get verified there.

pusangani May 7th, 2010 03:12

What is your question exactly?

All you keep saying is "I have an ak105 what is compatible with it"

I dunno 6mm bb's are compatible with it

ak magazines are compatible with it

silicone oil is compatible with it

an ak sling is compatible with it

it has a v3 gearbox so most tm compatible internals would be compatible

but again all you say is "what is compatible"

if you don't show that you have at least tried to help yourself then people are not going to help you

making 4 threads all relating to the same subject is just spamming and shows that you are impatient as well as lazy

Tycoon May 7th, 2010 03:24

I dont think you need a new motor to run that battery.

Can you think of any specific logical reason as to why you would need a new motor?

Quality bushings, a good shim job and a sturdy bearing spring guide are generally all people need for the most part.
