Best mid cap M4 aeg magazines?
Did a quick search on my iPhone nothing really showed up as an answer ....
Who makes the best mid cap magazines for a M4 style aeg? prefer metal but will go with plastic also I would like to see pros and cons of your choice, I have presently have 4 Kings Arm 120 mid caps and they stopped feeding, brand new they worked but after 500+ BB's each... Not working now (I did add a few drops of silicon before I used them, and tried that again a few days ago) To no avail Looking for 68 to 130 range magazines |
For plastic mags, I use Ares/Star and MAG midcaps...both feed flawlessly in any m4 I've tried them in. I've been using them for almost 2 years now and they're still kickin'. The plus side of them is that they're cheap so if they do stop working, you can replace them easily.

I really like my Magpul E-Mags (actual magpul brand mags) costly but no issues so far, and I've fired atleast 500 through each.
|
Magpul PTS (not the green box ones) make fantastic magazines, Same with Realsword, G&P and King Arms.
But all these magazines have a price tag that reflects their quality |
MAG brand mags..... amazing. The company is named MAG for a reason and they specialize in just mags.
|
I also would go for the Magpul PTS magazines, especially the M series.
|
My vote goes for the magpul PTS. They may be $30 a piece but they are well worth the price. Thats why i have 10 :)
|
Magpul PTS. I've had bad luck with MAG brand midcaps, everyone else swears by them
|
Just to mention my Magpul PTS Brand mags came in a white/clear bag.
|
Magpul P-MAG's.
I fell in love with them - had to buy a set of 6. |
Magpul seems to be the favorite
Now why are they so good thou, is it because they never jam, have no feed issues, fit any M4 style aeg Just wondering why there so good |
magpul pmag shorties (50 rounds, vietnam size pmags) got a box of ten for about 85$ and love them, work great in everything cept a g&g magwell, need to bolster it at the back ledge of the magwell with electical or guntape, or a strip of velcro to get it to feed properly

On the other hand my plastic 100ish rnd King Arms mags fit and feed perfectly. Ironically, being made out of solid plastic actually made them more durable than my metal MAG mags. They are by far the *best* midcap magazines I've used. In all honestly, asking who makes the best mags is almost as useful as asking who makes the best guns. It's all up to personal preferences really. Due to the difference specification in magwell size and mag size, you're best served by trying as many brands as you can and finding out what works best for you. |

I picked up a 10-pack of the less expensive green-box PMAGs and they have had feeding problems in 4 different guns: a G&G and 3 separate G&P rifles. I'd avoid the green-box PMAGs. I've heard great things about the higher end PTS ones, though. |
