CDN_Stalker November 13th, 2009 09:34

I should get a 249 at some point, not because it's a role I want to do, but simply because I have a bunch of real C9 parts to install on it. :D

Might be a long while before I get around to buying an M249, more so the cost of one, but simply buying an airsoft gun for a role I'll never play. I'd end up passing it off to one of the gunners on my team to use. Should get Arnold to post up pics of the C9 he made with a lot of real steel parts, it's pretty sweet!

Tommygun_ted November 16th, 2009 18:49

i need to fix my saw so it doesnt look like shit in the picture. first game i used it at the strip pin fell out, so now the buttstock hangs down. ive got a different stock coming in soon though, wanted to switch it anyways :) and the clip that holds the foregrip in place snapped, so it was help on by duct tape. waiting on the rail system for it aswell :)

Tommygun_ted November 16th, 2009 18:52

I also got shot in the ribs by CDN_Stalker when my battery ran out and i decided to keep moving up anyways :P he prolly would have killed me anyways from what ive heard

Shooting him in the ribs or moving with a down gun? It ain't cheating unless he's not calling his hits.

Daiviet November 16th, 2009 19:36

I might just be reading it wrong, so apologies if I am, but it sounds like stalker shot you in the ribs and you kept moving anyways

Spike November 16th, 2009 22:38

I think he meant that his gun went down, but he kept moving, THEN he got shot.

I did? When was this? Lol

Tommygun_ted November 17th, 2009 14:39

it was at flag raiders, pretty sure my brother said CDN_Stalker, one of the midweek games, we went to Arby's after, I was the guy with the saw para. And to clear up the confusion, the gun went down first, then I got shot. I call all my hits :) but yeah, if it wasn't you Stalker, my appologies.

Forever_kaos November 17th, 2009 14:51

Ah that game, I remember that. The Dusk/Night game with Dr.Jimmy right?

I don't think Stalker was there O_o unless he's that good I didn't even see him haha!

CDN_Stalker November 17th, 2009 16:00

Isn't the first time I've gotten kills at games I wasn't even at. Lol, how's that for long range shooting?

FOX_111 November 17th, 2009 16:03

That's what happen when a known sniper is beleived to operate in an erea. Every stray shot is automaticly a sniper shot.

I got so many kills like that too hehe.

I hear ya. Last game I was at, I found out at one game previously, I got three knife kills in one day. I'VE NEVER GOTTEN A KNIFE KILL!!!! Lol, but my girlfriend got her first knife kill last game we were at, was her second game AND her first kill in airsoft! Don't you just love reputations built upon false events?

You are a true sniper lol
I bet you just point at people and they call their hits ;)

Actually, they've surrendered and left the area. At one game I got blamed for using a hot gun during the day (ok, a 500fps M24 which I'd used for years) and it caused some complaints.......... I found out later on since I was at home that day working on stuff in my basement. Hence the myth of my stepping on BBs and getting kills hundreds of kilometers away. Lol

Do I need to remind you guys that this is the support gun thread ? ;)

Luckily I didn't take it off topic, but it looks like the mention of my name did. Lol

ThunderCactus November 17th, 2009 18:23

Hey a sniper rifle is a support gun, it's a gun that offers long range and accurate support! ;)

Tommygun_ted November 18th, 2009 17:25

How much does that beast weigh?

Tommygun_ted November 18th, 2009 17:42

http://C:\Documents and Settings\use...ictures/Keeper

not too sure how to add photos, so if that didnt work, im sorry, lol

GovernmentGrant November 18th, 2009 17:47

I don't remember, sold it quite awhile back.

TOP M60DX, pretty hefty weight to it. Visually quite impressive, but in reality quite underwhelming for it's size and weight.

CDN_Stalker November 18th, 2009 17:59

Red Tiger hired me to assemble, upgrade and wire up (to his new boxmag) his TOP M60 a few years back, he had just bought it used and in pieces.......... talk about an interesting experience, assembling a totally different type of gun than I've worked on before (that was and remains the only TOP gun I've worked on). It had real steel flashider, stock, bipod and foregrip, the thing was a beast. I weighed it (hence my even posting this) and it was a good 26lbs!!!!!

Forever_kaos November 18th, 2009 18:10

Holy shit, 26lbs is insane.

I feel blessed my RPK is only 13/14 ish

Hey, that's what my CA M24 weighs!

Lol, when I sent the M60 back to Red Tiger, the weight was around 32lbs with the gun, boxmag, spare parts, etc. Xpress Post was about $40.

GovernmentGrant November 19th, 2009 12:09

You can see I have my left elbow braced on my knee. Firing it from the shoulder was a real bitch.

The TOP design would work FLAWLESSLY from the bipod, it was set up to gravity feed the bb's towards the butt end of the gun and into some wierd clockwork gear mechanism. If you had it in any sort of muzzle down shooting position, the design worked less than ideally. That's what I mean about it being kind of underwhelming. Wiring up a box mag would have been well worth it.

Lucky for me I knew a guy who had owned a TOP M249, he did all the work on it for me.

Anyways, nowadays this is more my speed for a support weapon:

http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...t/IMG_0340.jpg

Both the drum mags were u/s, so this never really got used this past season. And as far as I am concerned, you can't be a support weapon with just a high cap. I tried it a few times, you are just another AEG. You need to have the ability to sling a lot of plastic if you are going to give support.

Anyways, both drum mags are working now.

The E3 is around 28lbs dry and the MK 43 is around 25lbs dry
