New pics from Hyperstealth "Quantum Stealth"

Thanks to Soldier Systems for the story/pics!

Through The Looking Glass With HyperStealth

There’s been little written about HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp’s new Quantum Stealth technology. Thanks to HyperStealth, I have seen a large number of photos in addition to the two that they gave me to share with you. Important to note these are mock ups specfically for use in the media. Don’t mind the hexagons, those are there to throw you off the trail.

The ultimate question you are going to ask me is, “Does it work?” My answer is a simple, “Yes,” but I have to say that it still needs some work. While HyperStealth’s Guy Cramer hasn’t made any claims that it’s quite ready for the battlefield yet, it sure does warrant further development. I’m not sure exactly how it works but I’ve got a real good idea and I have to say that simplicity is key to the success of concepts like this. I’m not going to share my specific observations because this is their idea. Sharing too much might put their IP at risk or worse yet, give the bad guys a notion of how to do it as well.

IF/When this becomes field ready, wholey phuckity phuck!

FOX_111 July 18th, 2011 12:14

I wonder how it work in practice.
I look photoshopped. If it's not, then it's really impressive.

Cactus-man July 18th, 2011 12:50

Holy Crap! It's Halo in real life! lol!

MultipleParadox July 18th, 2011 13:54

Am I the only one thinking (convinced?) it's fake?

Concidering invisibility/light-deviating cloak have been subject of research for a few years only (at a feasable/usable level, that is), and all they managed to do yet was to make it partially work for high-energy waves (mainly microwaves) with "devices" quite bulkier than a single sheet of cloth, I highy have doubt they would have advanced that fast on that matter.

And, I mean, look at their website...

Google for meta-materials

Zeonprime July 18th, 2011 14:12

apparently there was a video of it being tested somewhere in the states(?) that floated around for about a few hours some months ago and that was pulled. person was in one of the test "uniforms" moving about and that little video caused quite a stir before it was yanked.

I personally wait to see the eventual public release. I do believe the article I quoted states that the little hexigons are altering the photo so calling photoshop is accurate.

Nope you are not the only one, obvious fake is obvious.

MMatersk July 18th, 2011 14:13

Damn harry potters cloak of invisibility! I knew it was real ;) . Looks like Photoshop.

Bowers July 18th, 2011 14:49

Given the comments found on Cramer and his company on boards like LF and Milnet im going to take this with a bucket of salt.

Grudge July 18th, 2011 15:18

Until I see it IN PERSON. I will reserve my judgement!

MadMorbius July 18th, 2011 16:01

I don't believe ANYTHING that comes out of hyperstealth, the folks who brought you the pre-ordered and infinitely not-produced specam uniforms.

icaris July 18th, 2011 16:12

I just ran both images through a program called JPEGsnoop and it says that both images were edited with Photoshop.

Also looked through there site and you can easily see that alot of the camo especially on the planes is photshopped and done terribly lol

Maybe they shipped them, but you just can't see the packages?

Now excuse while I go look for my Q-Ray bracelet.

Conker July 18th, 2011 16:48

Wow you're so good to say it's fake... not like it's written in the article, right?

Mockups aka fakes-to-show-what-it-should-look-like-in-real-life.

icaris July 18th, 2011 17:18

Didn't see that part.

Please forgive me oh lord Conker.

Mockups aka fakes-to-show-what-it-should-look-like-in-real-life.

Sure, but it still amounts to fucking zero. If it's real, show it.

According to comments by Cramer in the comment section the mock up is in the interest of maintaining "security and secrecy" over his property. and basically that the people who matter will get to see the real thing.

MadMorbius July 18th, 2011 18:33

LOL so why post it in the media at all?

Here's a picture of my camouflage system. It's top secret, and in the "conceptual design pre-prototyping phase":

http://dofb.com/wp-content/uploads/2...brick_wall.jpg

This rendering clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of Morbiatek Biotechnology Corporation's* ground-breaking and patent pending photo-optical transdisplacement (PO-TDP) technology. In this image, our model is conceptually represented equipped with our latest generation of PO-TDP (tm) camouflage technology**.

PO-TPD is now available for pre-order for exclusive transdimensionally qualified quantum capable entities, with first production run estimated at POI+6 months ***.

*Registered business entity in the Republic of Chad
**Conceptual image only. There's nobody in the fucking picture.
***Product not yet invented. Point of Invention plus 6 months.

Gunk July 18th, 2011 19:58

I'd like to reserve three of those Morb.

Now get on your minions to get work and invent my damn invisibility already.

That tree branch is getting cold, and this restraining order is about to expire.

rc_p120 July 18th, 2011 20:02

Morb I would like to buy shares in your company.

Shares are offered quantumly, based on the value of my company in alternate universes. Therefore, with a base annual projected revenue of $0 in this reality, and a projected quantum valuation of $3.8B in another universe, you can buy in for $368,000/share.

I accept paypal.

Nervikaire July 18th, 2011 20:47

Ya take western union?

Can you waive the Paypal fee?

MadMorbius July 23rd, 2011 13:41

Not in this universe.

Boche July 23rd, 2011 16:09
