I shipped a KWC M92 on 17/07/2013 with a cash on delivery option + signature (to be delivered on 22/07/2013), the package mysteriously vanished inside the Montreal facility. I filled 3 complaints and i only receive my shipping fee back (my package was insured but they said they dont see that in the systeme). I end out receiving only 25$ back instead of 170$

On 23/08/2013, i got a email form the buyer, he said "guess what, i got the gun this morning, lol"

Wow, 1 month to get it shipped 60km away , driving over there by car must have taken me probably 1 hour and a half, but i got a broken arm so cant drive because my car is a stick shift

You think CP is bad? Clowns from UPS are even worse...
I stay away from them but this time there was no choice. My package was going from LA to Cambridge ON. It was shipped from LA on the 6th of September. Got to Windsor ON on the same day and cleared customs 3 days later. On the 10th it went to Maumee OH, than to Detroit. Came back to Windsor on the 11th and cleared customs for the second time :) I phoned UPS and paid brokerage fees over the phone because package was going to someone who will be making airsoft mod for me and he has less than a week to do it before big event. On the 12th driver "was unable to collect the funds" and left notice. I called UPS and reconfirmed my payment. Yesterday driver "was unable to collect the funds" notice #2 was left... I fucking snapped... Called them again, now waiting for 3rd "attempt" which will only happen on Monday because all mighty UPS in Kitchener is closed on Saturday for some reason.
Had another package shipped to the same person from China by regular mail. It was shipped on the 6th as well, he got it 4 days later...

Bought GTA5 online from Futureshop yesterday within the "deliver today" time bracket. Paid for expedited guaranteed next day delivery. They mailed it at 11 at night from Mississauga, and it has gone missing since. It was supposed to be here at 11am "guaranteed". Nobody knows where my package is.

GODDAMN IT.

TJX October 7th, 2013 18:55

Ordered several airsoft related items for this past month using the so-called EXPEDITED service. Three times now these deliveries have arrived a day or two later from the STANDARD delivery date. Today I was supposed to get something from Toronto to my home in nearby Mississauga. It's almost 7:00PM right now and the website still says it's "OUT FOR DELIVERY". I've notice that all these delivery dates fell on Mondays. Do Mail people not work on Mondays or something?

pestobanana October 10th, 2013 18:34

My CP fucker is always too lazy to deliver so he says attempted delivery, notice card left. I had people home the entire fucking day every time, so I call CP and go pick up the package only to find the delivery notice card in my mail the next day.

Guy has something listed for sale... I contact him 3 days ago and get this... "It was sold a few days ago". As of today it is still listed for sale! Just wastes my time and is just wrong. Don't be so fucking lazy!!!! Mark your item SOLD!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, let's see. Nobody wants to use our terrible service so let's make it worse, that should help! Heads up, Purolator just as bad with just as many excuses! So far I've only had any luck with Ups and Fedex. Ups has been stellar!

I say this is great news for us!

now they cant leave packages at our door. Or have someone whos not us, sign for our shit, or just hand off to whos ever at the door at whatever address they happen to be at.

I prefer picking up my mail, having someone verify my ID when I pick up a package.

as far as jobs go, well, its too bad, but the same can be said for any other out of date- no longer needed services like milk men and stuff.

Something that made me go: "WTF?"
Today I go to send out some gear. Two identical boxes, same method of shipping, weight is +/- 50 g. One to Florida, one to Hungary. $27 for Florida, $23 for Hungary... Worst thing is that they were given exact dimensions and weight of both boxes over the phone and quoted me $43 for Hungarian package which buyer paid. So now I have to send him some money back via PayPal and cover 4% PP fee...

Besides the fact that UPS charges a god damn arm and a leg for *customs and handling* shit. They tac'd on an extra $40 dollars to my already $23 shipping free when they showed up at my door. For a god damn Mich2000 and a few other light things.

Anyways it was complete bullshit and I had no idea of the extra charge until they were at my door step. They never bothered to warn me or even send an email of notice or some sort. I was truly a deer in the headlights.

TL;DR - UPS is trash and over charges.

Get this, TWO days in a row. Received package (ordered from best buy) empty, in one of their generic "We're sorry, it would appear your package has sustained some damage" bullshit bags. Some damage?!?!?! some fucker at a postal office clearly cut it open and stole a pair of skull candy headphones and an otterbox for a GS4. so I call them, and they tell me it must have been caused by a sorting machine, except that the hole in the package was clearly made with scissors/knife, at the top of the package, and was just long enough to get the contents out!
As if that isn't bad enough, the very next day my 9 year old daughter got a letter, yes a hand written letter, from a friend of hers in Edmonton. I guess the amount of paper in it made someone think it could be money, because it was again cut open. I'm sure they were terribly disappointed when they realized they risked their job for a letter containing no cash.
It's like they can see a deadline on their job so they don't give a fuck anymore.

Have you considered self clearing your packages?

jamuke January 7th, 2014 02:31

"brokerage" fees always elicit a WTF the first time.

As I recall you can avoid these fees if you have the option of choosing a more expensive shipping option ( i am hazy here but I think Air Express or such had cost me an extra $30 -$40 at checkout but as the order was at a declared value of almost $1000 I figure the "fees " would have been a few hundred dollars )

Self clearing has been explained here and many other hobby sites I frequent and it seems that dealing with this yourself means that the staff of several different departments and business need to

a) be honest with you
b) know policy and procedure
c) give a flying f*&k

kind of like ordering FPS legal import airsoft
