In my unit they have been issued to personnel. But yeah I wouldn't even say a quarter of the unit has them(Armoured unit). One thing though that stand alone liner is rediculous looking.

They are in Gagetown.
The tank range is close to my house, the C1s were not very loud, you always knew they were shooting but they did not bother me. The C2s shake my house and wake me up in the morning...not looking forward to the next forever. |

I have a couple of questions in regards to the Fast helmets out there.
First of all, aside from the obvious differences of the holes in the helmet what is the difference between the Ballistic and PJ style Fast helmets? Are there any size/shape differences I should be aware of? I ask this because I will be picking up a helmet cover that is designed for the Ballistic style Fast helmet, and it is unclear weather it will fit on a PJ style helmet properly or not. Second, has anybody run a Bowman style headset with a Fast helmet here? Does the helmet "cooperate" with the headset? Or does the headset interfere with the helmet making things uncomfortable? And to make it clear, I am talking about airsoft replicas of the helmets, not the real versions. I'm afraid my addiction to this sport will drive me to get the real deal helmet just for the hell of it if somebody remarks about how great the real ones are... Thanks to any answers I can get in advance! |

In any case, the Jump/Base (or PJ style) helmets have a different shaped non-removable shroud while the Carbon and Ballistic version have the removable VAS shroud. You may have trouble fitting your cover without modifications with this in mind. With that said, get the real one if possible. A base jump is about $250-300, while the quality replicas (from AirsoftDepot) are already $120-140. Resale value alone is worth the premium. If you must get a replica, skip the "basic/non-premium" version if you can. The finish and thickness of the premium version is far superior. You will hate yourself with the basic (cheaper) version. |
Also it is like fricking impossible to find a replica base jump for a head size of 7 1/2 or larger.... :(
|
Are you sure Kokanee? I'm pretty sure my head size is 7 1/2 and my replica BJ fits fine. Mine is the one from huang.
|
Well I have a size 7 7/8 head and no go by a long shot, the 7 1/2 comment is from talking to other people who have had fitment issues and that is where the problems seem to start. I am glad yours fits though! ;)

Ah, I hear ya. You're sort of having the opposite issue I have with repro BDU's, the smallest size is still too big for me. I sort of feel your frustration bud.

That's how it is on the original design. I suppose the illustrator opted to put them there because it helps with the composition. It makes it look more like a jolly roger I think :P |
