works great, comfortable, just unhook 1 clip and let it hang down when not needed, works great with headsets too because of the clip placement its not in the way. also there is 2 ways of putting on or taking off either unclip from the helmet or use the velcro on the mask.
also; i run a swimmer style headset so only 1 ear peice. (why 1 of the straps is shortly longer)

I've used the headlock clips with my AIRFRAME repro, some velcro and some Battlelabs CB vinyl tape to do the same thing, though I went with 3/4" velcro strips so they match the size of the headlock clips. I'm surprised more of us dont have this particular modification going. I'll post up some pics when I get home from work. ;)

@Ceazer, that setup looks nearly identical to how mines going to finish up.

Yep, the headlock clips were exactly what I was eyeing, came with my Huang repro so figured I'd use em. Just deciding which mesh mask is going to get the chop.

I've always liked having the mesh for CQB, but longer games were I need to eat/hydrate on the field, no way I'm taking my eyepro/comms/helmet off just so I can remove my mesh, so I tend to leave the mesh at home.

Here's melon bucket :D. I picked up this helmet at the TAC12 gear swap table for $40 dollars. The original colour was OD so I picked up a can of krylon and sprayed it tan. I was happy for a couple of days, then I got bored of it. It was too bland and no character. So, I cut out a punisher skull template and sprayed another layer of brown this time with mesh.

Pretty happy with how it came out. But it still feels naked and too clean for my liking.

Soooo, I decided to wear it today and rolled around in a pigsty lol

That's what it's been lacking all along......... DIRT!

Update

Heres an update of my lid.

Threw a VAS mount on it so now my NV has somewhere to go.

My helmet close to completion
-OD and Black shadow painted
-Imitation Norotos universal shroud
-Surefire Helmet light
-Bolle Tactical goggles
-ACR MS-2000 (M) distress strobe light
-Blood type patch
-Z Tactical Bowman EVO III headset
-Reflective American flag
-Magpul MOE small rail mount

Later I want to add EOG NVG Counter Weight System and possibly a V-LITE, but with distress function on both my Surefire light and ACR ms2000 the V-LITE seems like overkill. Who thinks the V-LITE is worth putting on?

Lol, I couldn't justify spending another $250 right after buying the PVS-14. Maybe that'll be my next purchase and a PEQ

Well, you better un-lanyard that disaster of a repro piece of kit, so that it "accidentally" vanishes at the next outting.. marine. ;D

PS: Besides that, it looks good!
