Just save the money for them, every dollar counts. Its not the looks, its the preformance you want to buy. So buying a replica is a massive waste of money.

if you are setting up an "impression" rather than the need for NVGs then you are good to go on replica. Besides, I thought this was a Helmet Gallery thread :)

I do realize that some guys buy real helmets/etc....but plenty have replica helmets and want to do 'em up as an impression...and I thought that was one of the major "themes" of airsoft.

Same with gear, radios, guns...isn't it poor form to poo-poo someone if their rig is pantac instead of Eagle/etc...

Seeing as I was reffering to the fake night vision, when he plans on buying the real thing anyways, my comment is completly justified.

I generally dont bash on people buying fake gear, I do it all the time.... but when you are saving up for a $3k purchace, why spend money on a immitation when you can put that money towards the $3K.

When concerning replicas from Huang, are there any difference between the FAST helmets, and the MICH2001 (with ARC rails and velro)? Like weight, security on the head, badassness?

Fast helmets have head-loc that tightens on your head.
Fast is lighter, but security on your head? I wouldn't trust. Badass, sure.

Agreed but i have to wait sadly, I only buy the best if i can afford too. sometimes it fits to get something for looks, but yes function is everything Yet i don't play any serious nigh games. the 3x fake nvgs are good for something at least.

I trying to see in my Uncle back in israel can send me some surplus Israeli gear and equipment, NVG's too. Still i'm in school right now and have other expenses that are more important to me so they can wait for a bit.
