Yo man, I heard from some super secret squirrels from ODA megaforce that sandpails are the HSLD shiznit for dumping mags. Beats rollypolly hands down.

It has been a long time since most of us have seen pics of greenside ops man, so info might be oudated. You would find much more help for Iraq and Afghanistan style kit.

Ok,

So if your looking at a green-side kit, ODA style.... My personal advice would be to avoid plate carriers.. IIRC most green side kit-outs dont use them since they can be very uncomfortable after 24 hours, and overtly hot. I'd say go with something like the LBT 1195 rig (though i suppose that might be more seal), or a chest rig. the LBT 1961 is nice, or the BHI CRCH is sexy too... What primary are you running? Does it have to be modular? What uniform pattern?

No disrespect meant Goldman, but I think I would dispute that.

1. LBT rigs, I am really uncertain as to whether SF actually use them. Afaik they are specifically a Navspecwar thing.

2. As for no armor in greenside, here are some pics of it. I can not say 100% they are all SF as opposed to another unit like EOD or something, but from what I can remember they were at least not Navspecwar. I need to wait for H-G to get home to confirm this info and to the validity of the photos.

You got me, I have a NSW fetish, and sometimes i leaks into other parts of my brain:P.

Personally, I think greenside,I think NSW riverine, but thats just me.

In any case, i think I should calrify. By Greenside, does he mean a green, yet still sandbox-esq loadout? Or something more along the likes of LRRP. Most of the armour-shots you have there are "greenside" loadouts in that they are a temperate environment, but are still in built up areas.

edit- no disrespect taken, I'm the first to admit that my knowledge of non NSW kit is sub-par these days, and to be honest you and yourboys seem to have it right on the money!

If CIRAS is good enough for Gary Sinise, it's good enough for me!

Haha yeah, NSW is too damn cool!

As do I, hell, for the longest time I didn't know what greenside was, despite how obvious the name is.

Yeah, I also think LBT riverines, or ALICE setups, etc, but I guess today's world military situation calls for armor to protect valuable manpower.

Glad there was no disrespect taken! Thank you for your kind words ;)
