It's probably the masks putting the authorities off of clearsoft. People concealing their identities chasing each other making gun brandishing motions freaks out the public. From a practical standpoint, if you're wearing eye protection, who's protecting the bystander without eye protection? If you can see the armament (or imitation arm) then you're in line of sight. If it's not through a window, you could also be in range.

Squirt guns had the same issues as clearsoft. I recall some pretty cool pistols. I had a springer 1911 water gun which you racked the slide to cock a shot. Pretty fun. I noticed they became hard to get pretty quick. The big goofy super soaker hasn't had any of the same issues as gun shaped shooting devices. Sure it can shoot bleach, but somehow that seems less insidious to the public.

Wrong. Cops with BBs that hurt a lot more than yours see it as a problem. When cops bust people with those shitsoft, they don't may a distinction between those and our Airsoft. This gives us bad publicity which makes the public hate us more. That's why we hate clearsoft.

I love this country. If you don't, then GTFO and go live in the US or something.

Yup, life was easier back then. Then again, nobody had flown a plane into a building back then either. I'm not particularly fond of how society/the world has changed to what it is now, but change is inevitable. There are always alternatives however. Don't like it? Move to Upper Slobobia or something. Or lobby for changes you want to see.
Airsoft's not going anywhere any time soon. Since January I've played a half dozen very awesome games in Ontario/Quebec. Go find a proper spot and play.

Different parts of the country will have different views. If toy guns are not seen as a big deal where you are, and they are Clear plastic, plus the parent is watching... well, all is done for control.
If you're in a big city, in Ontario or Quebec, it's NOT the same deal.

Problems happen with the retards who use the (crappy) copies of real guns in places they should not and then get seen by regular folks who cant tell it's a toy.

They call the cops, the rest is in the papers.

So unless you have a cure for stupidity, there will be retards pulling those stunts.

As stated, depends where you live, there is a reason why Nerf guns and water guns are big neon horrors.

And besides, anything flying through the air is a potential danger for others eyes.

Take away the clearsoft, and give them nerf guns.
