Chinese metal lowcaps (68)... at 8$ a piece, they are almost as cheap as plastic midcaps. And so far they feed in all the guns I tried.

Plus they are metal, and for most of the games with magasine restriction, you get the most ammo by using lowcaps.

it's because of those reasons you listed. And as a added bonus, they are literally indestructible because they use the same material as the real steel version.

the green labels are hit and miss... I got a box of 10 '20round' (50rnd bb capacity) and they are wicked ... fed in everything I've put em in. but appears G&P metal bodies have a cast/machining line down the front of the magwell that catchs the green labels on the way in and out giving some difficulty there but relatively simple fix with a file or sandpaper

now a con of the greenlabels .. is the plastic used is definately inferior to the "real" pts pmag.

my biggest issue is... airsoft 'real' pmags are around $30 each... REAL steel magpul Pmags can be found for $16... ouch...

I use the green label PMAGs (75 rd capacity) and have yet to encounter any problems. They do need to be broken in before use (simply done by giving a squirt of silicon oil down the mag, working the spring to help lube the BB well, then filling/emptying each mag 2-3 times) but once that's done, they feed very smoothly.

Material wise, the green labels are made of high impact ABS plastic which is plenty strong - just not as strong as the polymer reinforced standard mags. Still, they can take their fair share of punishment.

And Reckless, the higher pricing of the PTS "airsoft" mags are what they are simply because they aren't sold in as large a quantity as their real steel counterparts.

I rock the Greenlabel mags (and STAR mags as well). No real problems with them but I can deal with the associated problems of misfeeds, double feeds, etc. Never had one jam on me though.

I'd like to try the Real Sword Type 97 mags however.... Maybe one day...

Hey guys, Im using a VFC M4 , and need a opinion. I recently purchased a box of 10 120rd mags from King arms (plastic), Im debating weather to keep these or get the set of 5 Velocity arms 130rd mag (metal) for the same price? Anyone have feedback on the two brands? or which way to go.

You should put them through some reasonably realistic testing (eg: try emptying all 10 through a mix of test firing in semi and long full-auto bursts) or actual gaming on the field before deciding.

If they feed flawlessly, you've got a winner on your hands, and I'd keep them regardless.

quick question to ask you as well, or anyone for that matter, do Mags have to be broken in when first purchased? Or is this just a myth. Need some advice as this is my first time purchasing new mags.

Some do. Some don't. Definitely not a myth.

I'm not experienced enough to answer this question well, but I have learned from some players that it's pretty important to keep mags healthy by regularly giving them a tiny amount of lube and also by emptying them of BBs after every game (so that the spring can rest). I have noticed that a couple of my green-label PMAGs seem to be working slightly better after a couple of games, so there may be something to the break-in talk.

i would suggest either PTS Pmags or Classic Army STANAG mid caps 120 round ones those are one of the best made on the market

If you ask me theres no real "best mag" out there. Each gun has different magwells even though they may state to be the same they can differ in many places. So just keep trying different mags until you find one brand or one kind that seats and feeds well with your own gun not everyone elses.

i have vfc m4 sopmod and bought the va 130rnd metal mags, they are nice quality but sometimes the port for the bottom of the hop up doesnt line up when inserting the mags so a small jiggle move is required to get the mag release to catch. no feeding issues though. I ve only had them for a short time and used them a couple times

Any wobble with the VA mags ?
