Mabye... if ICS was on theses forums, it'd be possible. They have people and an account on the Arnie's Airsoft forums looking for ideas, someone could drop a link to this in one of their threads it may be possible.

Personally, I would not want the gun manufacturers getting a hold of this thread.

It would make for a large scale influx of airsoft guns that may or may not look cool, (based on some of the choices here, I shudder to think....) and generally suck, because they were made in a rush to satisfy the asthetic airsofters, while ignoring the quality of their product.

ICS, AE and CA cruise these forums. For all I know TM reps hit us up once in awhile as well..

True, especially if CYMA, WELL, or other low-class found this, now that I think about it, suddenly there would be crappy springers based loosely off games, which 12-year-old new airsofters would think "Oh, awesome! I want that!" and start buying 'the new "XL2"', based off the Halo rifle but performs like complete crap. Thanks for the insight.

I think any public-involved R&D would stem from the company rather than the public; so they would come out and ask in a formal and organized way what people are looking for, rather than slink around our forums and see what guns posters think are the 'pieces of the week'.
