You guys are making newbies not want to get into airsoft with all these horror stories and reality of airsoft combat. I will probably be dressed up in that full steel knight suits now for my first skirmish.

Greylocks is famous ;) Just playin but that kid is a huge idiot even a NORMAL 10 year old would have the brain power to know not to do that

Worst thing thats ever happened to me, is I spooked someone and they unloaded about half a realcap into my leg. It was quite the "oh shit" dance for a couple minutes... after that, not too bad. Just an interesting constillation on my calf.

And guppy, I find it hillarious you have the absolut drinker userbar over the chevy driver userbar....

Guppy November 26th, 2006 17:36

lol I just noticed that drunk driving :P

airsoft is a game which involves shooting at eachother on purpose... if you're worried about minor injuries maybe take up decoupage?

freddyclaw November 26th, 2006 18:06

Skyone I hope you wear goggle under that mask or something because if someone shoots a bad bb fast enough it will explode into your eyes. I assume you know taht but just thought it might not hurt to tell you that incase.

i tried on these crazy paintball masks in a paintball game. I was the only guy left on the team with 3 people hunting me down. Dunno why they always have to aim at my head...well the story is, 4-5 paintballs struck me shoulder and above 3 landed on the mask, and since the eye protection is wire mesh....yeah...

since there are some high quality BBs that don't break and shatter on impact but rather "deform". skyone, did you happen to have BBs deform and cling to your wire mesh goggles upon impact? :)

When Chuck Norris showed up to a game and kidnapped one of the players wives...

the green mask is not certified for paintball, well, indeed there is no marketing profs within it.. it's made/from China.. it's not made for paintball because its wire mesh doesn't protect from paint. I use it for airsoft (< 1 joule, italian law) and didn't happen that a bullet cling to the wire mesh goggles upon impact.

I suggest you to buy a paintball mask that comply to grade protection standards/bills, there are many brands on the market. I am looking for this one:

they are tested for impacts up to 6/7 joule and are perfect for airsoft too.
This a good site with many reviews and user test

I've broken bones and damaged internal organs playing airsoft - I simply don't get the obsession some people have with obscene amounts of safety and wearing full masks etc.

Might as well cover all the rocks on your field w/ gym mats, make sure there are no corners on your cqb huts, and that everyone is wearing waterwings "just in case"...

GraveTech November 27th, 2006 11:03

Well, I wear the full mask because a broken tooth would simply bankrupt me. That and I hate the dentist.

I have the same mask. Beautiful peripheral allowance and few fog problems.

thanks for info
i think that the few fog problems might be compensated drilling small holes near lens; the mask is water proof because bullet's paint might damage eyes, but it's not needed in airsoft.

shadow1911 November 27th, 2006 14:10

Just install a small fan to goggles or apply antifog.

As for worst injery ever.

I can put a real clame on thease ones now.
in the top of the head i got a nfew bleeders from my last nights game.
